Building envelope contractor FK Group acquired architectural aluminium manufacturer Premo Fabrications. The deal took place in the context of FK Group’s strong annual revenues and its strategy to enhance its offsite capability and sustainability within its supply chain.
While FK Group did not disclose the sum it paid for its long-time supplier Premo Fabrication, the company said it yielded a turnover of £107 million for the latest twelve-month period – up by 60 per cent on the year.
Building on this financial performance, FK Group announced the purchase of Premo Fabrications – an aluminium building materials manufacturer located in Northeast England. Premo Fabrications makes a number of aluminium products, including curtain walling, rain screen, doors, windows, and architectural fabrications.
Francis Keenan, chief executive, said: ““Our confidence has led us to develop our offering and strengthen our brand with the purchase of our partner, Premo Fabrications. With the market’s emphasis moving increasingly to Modern Methods of Construction developing off-site has been in our plans for a while. As a longstanding partner with a strong understanding of our business, they are the right fit.”
The FK Group includes FK Construction and FK Facades. The company worked on construction large projects of distribution centres as well as residential accommodation. Premo Fabrications was founded in 2010 specialising in in the design and manufacture of sheet metal architectural fabrications.
