Mario Conserva (FACE): The geopolitical company
“The current historical phase is marked by a polycrisis that includes extreme climate events, new security threats, cybercrime, global financial risks, the rise of protectionism, the fragmentation of the international system and competition among major powers, with multiplying effects on conflict dynamics”, said our Secretary General Mario Conserva in the editorial for the magazine A&L Alluminio e Leghe.
“In this unstable context, companies too must transform into ‘geopolitical enterprises’: the ability to anticipate, analyse, adapt, respond and innovate has become essential to survive and thrive in a scenario defined by rapid changes and strategic surprises. Profitability and economic security will depend on the intelligent management of corporate geopolitics. This ‘geopolitical selection’ will reward the most agile businesses, capable not only of anticipating risks and scenarios but also of seizing new opportunities arising from crises”.
“Today’s world is rich both in complex risks and in strategic opportunities. Companies, whether large or small, will increasingly be assessed also on the basis of their geopolitical performance. Strengthening resilience, growth and profitability therefore means becoming a geopolitical company”, concluded Conserva.
